Digital photography was a relatively fun class for me. I mostly enjoyed the shooting assignments, probably because I have quite “photogenic” pets. Over the course of this trimester, I learned how a camera works and how to become a better photographer. I think I have Digital photography again this year, but other than that I don’t really plan on applying this knowledge to anything.

I shot in the "animals" category. this is one of my cats, Bucky. best picture of the shoot. i've been taking photos all week.
I tried to do a "motion" shoot but i made some mistakes. I only had one LED lamp and I thought that would be enough to compensate for how quickly the pictures would be taken but it wasn't. all of the pictures in my shoot are extremely underexposed and very grainy. It was hard to see that on the little screen on my camera, though. This is pretty much the best image I took. I'm aware this still isn't great, but it's something. 1/125th/sec, f3.5, ISO 1600.
For our 4th photoshop assignment, we were instructed to edit a photo in photoshop and make it "spooky" because of the time of year. I didn't really want to do too much to this picture I took of the school, so I just made it nighttime. In my opinion, I could've done better, but I lack practice and experience with photoshop.
for this assignment, I decided to shoot macro. I took very close up pictures of my guitar. this is my favorite because you can see how the string is wound and knotted. I enjoy the detail.
for this assignment we were instructed to take panoramic photos and composite them using photoshop. I didn't learn very much from this assignment since all we did was take like 6 pictures and clicked 2 buttons, and boom there's your panorama. simple but fun and interesting.
for this assignment, I'm not sure what I chose. my family and I had a bonfire over the weekend, but I'm not sure if i should count that as an event or just landscape/nature. I like this one because it just shows everything so well. It's crisp, it's clean, it's my favorite. ISO 100-400ish, F5.6, 1-30th/sec
For this assignment, we were provided with an image of a car with a lot of reflections and a man behind it. We were instructed to touch-up the image. Original below.
For this (late) assignment, I took 26 pictures of a defibrillator for no specific reason. I think it was just the first thing I saw that people weren't crowded around when I walked up the stairs. This is only as late as it is because I wasn't at school when we made our blogs, and this was like the second post we were supposed to make or something..
